Supplemental to my:
- Clevo D900F (Sager NP9280) Ultra-Detailed Review
- Clevo D900F 4th fan modification
This is for all of the XP holdouts that do not want to use Vista or Windows 7 as their one and only operating system.
Since Clevo and their vendors will not officially give support to using Windows XP (32-bit) for the Clevo D900F, I came up with my list of drivers that will work perfectly with the system.

UPDATED: added Avira Antivirus Free
Since late 2002 to 2003, PC owners have been bombarded by something new called “Mal-ware” (short for malicious software), which includes spyware, adware, browser hijackers, desktop hijackers, etc.
I remember when the epidemic hitting the masses around that time when I was a senior technician at a computer store chain. It seems that it took everyone off guard because just so many people came flocking in as the days went by with the same issues:
- slow computer
- browser not working right
- desktop not responding
- random pop-up (and pop-under) windows
….etc….
I had to do something to help pre-empt (preemptive) this from happening to more people, especially with those that are buying new computers. Read the rest of this entry

…continued from PART 1
For years, I have been more aware of the dangers of heat in PC systems (especially notebooks) because of recent posts and my own videocard overheating. Since most brands of PCs do not supply us end-users with software level monitoring solutions, I am glad that programs such as RivaTuner can get the job done by going low-level to detect and monitor our GPUs (graphics processing units). Now I can monitor the GPU temps while gaming or benchmarking. (check out my examples at the end)
This guide is for those that want to know their computer’s temperatures (CPU, Hard Drive(s), and especially the video card). It will also be very useful for troubleshooting.

Ever wonder what temperatures your computer is running at?
Has you desktop or notebook ever suddenly powered itself off after a duration of use?
When you are playing games, do you ever notice a lag after a number of minutes of consecutive gameplay?
One should always be aware of their system… namely the components with that can generate dangerously high temperatures that can ultimately affect the life of the computer. A CPU should not really exceed 80-90 C degrees Celcius. A HDD (hard disk drive) should never exceed 60-65 degrees Celcius for a long duration or it will diminish the life of the drive.
