Clevo D900F (aka. Sager NP9280) – Windows XP 32-bit Drivers

Supplemental to my:
- Clevo D900F (Sager NP9280) Ultra-Detailed Review
- Clevo D900F 4th fan modification
This is for all of the XP holdouts that do not want to use Vista or Windows 7 as their one and only operating system.
Since Clevo and their vendors will not officially give support to using Windows XP (32-bit) for the Clevo D900F, I came up with my list of drivers that will work perfectly with the system.
Just FYI, you need the BIOS update that fixed the ACPI issues for installing XP.
Here is my list of the XP Drivers that are up-to-date for the Clevo D900F.
NOTE 1: Your D900F BIOS version must have XP compatibility (that fixes the ACPI issue)… Sager made a beta BIOS for me when I tested the unit they sent me. Contact your vendor to ask for the latest BIOS update that supports XP.
NOTE 2: You do not need to do these drivers if you are going to use a Virtual Machine/Workstation (with software like VirtualBox, VMware, or VirtualPC).
I recommend you to install them in this order:
1.) SATA-RAID Floppy – 8.9.0.1023:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/down…17883&lang=eng
- of course, you must slipstream these files (after you extract them) into your XP disc using www.nliteos.com
2.) CHIPSET – 9.1.1.1019:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/down…18052&lang=eng
3.) HDD – Intel Matrix Manager – 8.9.0.1023:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/down…17882&lang=eng
4.) NETWORK – RTL811x – 5.736:

5.) VIDEO – Nvidia 185.85: (there are newer drivers now, but this is the one I tested with)
http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/top…-notebook-oem/
- click “Download Driver”
- download the “INF Modified” and replace it with the original INF file that you extracted
6.) AUDIO – Realtek with Microsoft UAA:

7.) CARD READER – Jmicro – 1.00.29.02:
http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/ind…ttach_id=2897&
8.) INFRARED – ITECIR Driver:
http://consumerdl.lenovo.com.cn/User…N1CIR12WW1.exe
9.) TOUCHPAD – from D900C:
http://74.212.252.103/Sagernotebook/…hpad_D900C.exe
10.) AP-Key Hot Keys – from D900C:
http://74.212.252.103/Sagernotebook/…-Key_D900C.exe
11.) MODEM – from D900C:
http://74.212.252.103/Sagernotebook/…odem_D900C.exe
12.) CAMERA (2.0M BisonCam) – from D900C:
http://74.212.252.103/Sagernotebook/…SON_XD900C.exe
- this might or might not work for the camera in your system Clevo has 2-3 different cameras used in that system.
Hope you guys find this of use.
Long Live XP,
-Gophn

That was an outstanding review!!! What was the version of BIOS you used to install XP PRO 32 bit? I’m trying to get it for my D900F as I’m using XP. Is using this beta BIOS required if I’m running the three hard drives in my D900F in a JBOD or will the standard shipping BIOS work if I use the drivers mentioned above?
