Upcoming fastest mobile Core i7 notebook ultra-detailed reviews
Hey folks, just wanted you to know what I am up to.
I have in my possession two highly anticipated and demanded high-end Intel Core i7 Mobile notebooks.
• Clevo W860CU (aka. Sager NP8690) …… new 15.6″ with mobile Core i7 and single Nvidia GTX 280M (standard MXM 3.0B)
• Dell Precision M6500 ……. new 17″ with mobile Core i7 and single ATI FirePro M7740 -or- Nvidia Quadro 2800M/3800M (Proprietary modules)
I will be doing my “ultra-detailed” review for each of them, as well as do a mini comparison for them. Also, I can even make service manuals for them since I took the time to document the fully disassemblies of the systems.
Here is a gallery for a tease.

I loved your Clevo D900F (aka. Sager NP9280) review! I hope you can compile some XP drivers for that Clevo W860CU (aka. Sager NP8690). Thank you.
2 yearss agoHello to everyone, I have just registered to Gophn.
Gophn, since M6500 revised from Core 2 to Calpella, I am looking forward to see M6500 crushed all the way down with it’s updated Thinkpad W700 mobile workstation counterpart, Thinkpad W701. Indeed a deep comparison between two investigated by you may unfortunately reveal a lot of technical and other details undocumented yet.
I should have buy a real mobile workstations but can’t decided to settle between various options of Thinkpad W510/W701, Fujitsu-Siemens Celsius, HP 8540w, Dell M6500, ODM/Asus/Acer options.
My preliminary specs are
-Two MXM 3 Type B interface
-core i7 quad
-12/16 GB DDR3 (Tripple channel if available)
-Matte/Anti-glare, FHD 16:9 / WUXGA 16:10 display
-Full virtualization support
-Thinkpad like reliable keyboard.
Gophn, I see you have a great deal of Mobile EXpress Module knowledgebase,
would you please help me to settle the preliminary options prospect.
Thank you all
